Candles
Candlelight creates a cosy atmosphere
Candles are the perfect accessory for creating a warm and cosy atmosphere, and they can instantly brighten up everything from the table setting to Christmas decorations. At Georg Jensen Damask you’ll find the most beautiful candles in shades of red, white and green.
Elegant red and white candles are classics in interior design.
The beautiful taper candles in shades of light red or deep red feature an elegant design, making them a stylish addition to the table setting or around the home. The deep red shade is especially suitable for the Christmas table or for a romantic dinner for two.
White candles are a classic component in interior design – whether they are used in a formal table setting or to create a cosy ambience at breakfast. Their stylish and timeless design effortlessly complements any candleholder, and the candles are suitable for any occasion throughout the year. White candles are always good to have on hand for times when you want to create a little extra warmth and illumination on your table. The colour white is pure and neutral, making the candles easy to coordinate with all other colours and designs in the collection.
The colour København is inspired by the capital’s historic dark green gates and benches. The green gives the taper candles a classic look, and the colour complements both the Christmas textiles in the same shade and the tablecloths and napkins in white and grey tones. The candles are beautiful on the Christmas table, for a dinner with family and friends – or as an elegant element that creates cosiness and warmth on the windowsill.
Hand-dipped and crafted from 100% fully refined paraffin wax
The candles are hand-dipped, solid-dyed and crafted from top quality 100% fully refined paraffin wax. Each candle measures 35 cm and has a burn time of 15 hours.
Good advice
Always trim the wick to just under 1 cm before lighting the candle. The candle will burn longer with a shorter wick and this will also prevent smouldering and flickering.
Extinguish the flame by dipping the wick into the liquid wax - this will prevent smouldering and ensure that the candle is easy to light next time.
Never place a candle in a draught, as it will cause the flame to smoke and burn unevenly.
